Shippen Manor, an 18th c. iron master's residence that is affiliated with the historic Oxford Furnace and the 18th-early 20th c. industries in Oxford, will be celebrating its 270 years on our opening day of the 2024 season.

 The museum will be open for self-guided tours with docents available to speak with our visitors. Visit with reenactors & interpreters from the French & Indian War, Revolutionary War, and the Civil War in addition to the tables of participating organizations. Firing demonstrations will be between 12 and 3pm (weather-pending). Kids are encouraged to participate (we have wooden rifles for drills as the men are always looking for new recruits!). 

 This is a family-friendly event that is free for all!

 The on-site parking is limited and the small Belvidere Ave lot near our upper driveway will be only for those with handicap tags. The back parking and driveways will be closed to vehicles and we are encouraging all visitors to park in town (see map below).
