Home MenuParental Bill of Rights Survey 2022
On April 27, 2022, the Warren County Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution calling for the creation of a Parental Bill of Rights in response to the state Health and Physical Education standards set to take effect this school year. Since then, many parents have reached out to our board to inquire what they can do to help address their concerns with regards to these standards in their school districts.
On September 14, 2022, Commission Director Jason J. Sarnoski announced the formation of a group of local leaders and education professionals to create this Bill of Rights, and a public survey to solicit public opinion on the standards and what controls parents would like to see implemented. The goal of this process is to draft a resolution consisting of actionable policy positions that can be sent to school boards for consideration.
The brief survey asks for optional contact information, and a single question asking for suggestions and comments to help the Commissioners craft the Parental Bill of Rights.
