The Clerk's Office is a passport application acceptance facility. This means they can only accept passport applications and send them to the passport processing facility. Once the application is delivered to the processing facility, the office's involvement in the passport process ends. They process applications for all first time applicants, adult applicants whose passport is more than 5 years expired, and all minor applicants under age 16. Please see below for lists of requirements and current processing times.

  • Adult Passport Checklist - For first-time adult applicants or adults with passports that are more than 5 years expired.

Passport Renewals

  • For regular passport renewals for adults whose passport is not more than 5 years expired, the applicant will send down the renewal form DS-82 on their own. You can get the application from the Clerk's Office, or download the form from the official travel website www.travel.state.gov
  • Certain applicants can now apply online. For all information and requirements, please visit travel.state.gov.
  • Renewal Checklist

Passport Photos

  • Passport photos for all applicants (first-time and renewal) taken on-site for $10 each, payable by cash, check, or money order.

Current Processing Times

  • Processing times begin the day the passport agency receives your application, not the day you mail your application or apply for a passport at a local acceptance facility.

  • Routine service is currently taking 4 to 6 weeks.
  • Expedited service (for an additional $60) is currently taking 2 to 3 weeks.
