Board of Elections
The Warren County Board of Elections will persevere to insure that all elections conducted in Warren County are within strict compliance with New Jersey Statutes Annotated, Title 19: Election Laws of The State of New Jersey.
The right to vote is fundamental. It is the duty of this Board as well as all Federal, State and local governments to promote the exercise of that right. As provided under Title 19:6-22, the Warren County Board of Elections is charged with providing the voters of Warren County with the necessary resources to properly cast their vote for the candidate of their choice, in a safe and secure environment, while observing their right of confidentiality, and protecting their right of suffrage, through control and supervision of its assigned resources.
This Board will continue to adhere to all mandates set forth in the National Voter Registration Act, which was signed into law by President Clinton and enacted on January 1, 1995. The purpose of the National Voter Registration Act (Motor Voter Act) was to establish procedures that would increase the number of eligible citizens who would register to vote and to protect the integrity of the electoral process ensuring that accurate voter registration rolls are maintained.
The Warren County Board of Elections
The Warren County Board of Elections is an autonomous body of County Government, headed by six Commissioners appointed by the Governor, three Democrats and three Republicans, upon recommendation from the respective County and State political party chairs, to alternating two-year terms of office. At their annual reorganization meeting, they elect a Chair, and a Secretary / Commissioner of Registration, to hold said office for the ensuing year.

Regular Business Meetings will be held at the Board of Elections Offices at 1:00 p.m. on the Third (3rd) Wednesday of the Month. In the Months of May, June, October and November, the Board will meet as needed to process paper ballot and overseas early Voting. The Board will meet the 1st Thursday in March to re-organize.
