Victorian Candlelight Holiday Tours

The celebration of Christmas derived from the traditions of earlier civilizations, but it was the Victorians who developed it into what we see today-- filled with traditions, festivities and gifts!

For reservation-only tours, our docents will welcome you into our beautiful manor and share with you the Victorian traditions of the holiday season. We will also have special music playing for our visitors. These special tours are limited in size to 10 visitors (adults & children).

For those who are unable to get a reservation, you are invited to walk-though the building (2 pm until closing at 4 pm) to see the decorations, only. (The building is quite beautiful when decorated for the holidays!)

 
Reservations open on November 1 until all spaces fill (this happens quickly).

In case of inclement weather, the tours will be cancelled without a "snow" date.  Driveway work may cause the museum to be closed for the remainder of the season. Please check our Facebook for updates (Shippen Manor).
