Museum Tours
Our docents will be giving "Porch Tours" at museum entrances along the upper driveway of the Manor. At this time, the Manor's interior is closed to the public.
Museum Entrances
The museum has two entrances along the upper driveway and both accessibly from the boardwalk. They will be accessible once the building reopens to the public.
- Robeson Study Entrance: This is our regular entrance (one-step up into the building)
- Reception Room Entrance: This is our accessibility entrance (slight slope once in the building)
Additional Information
The Manor has limited parking. Accessible parking at the end of the boardwalk nearest Belvidere Avenue. There is on-street parking on Washington Ave. (past the stone church), Wall Street (please pay attention to parking signs), and the Oxford municipal lot off Allen Ave (by In the Nick of Time Tailors). Please do not block driveways or park on Washington Ave. below the Manor. Violators may be ticketed by the local police.
We have sustained significant driveway damage, primarily to part of the lower driveway. Please exercise caution while walking (cones mark damaged areas). For the meantime, while exiting the back parking in vehicles, you will need to use the upper drive to exit. Please drive slowly and yield to pedestrians.
Food and drink are not permitted inside of the museum. Certified service animals are permitted to enter with their handlers. Other pets are not permitted inside of the museum.
This is a family-friendly historic site.
Shippen Manor is a part of the Warren County Parks System and is an alcohol, drug and tobacco-free site.
