The Warren County Health Department provides vaccine for a series of state/municipal-sponsored rabies vaccination clinics for pets each year.

• Clinics are free to all New Jersey residents
• Healthy cats and dogs ONLY are vaccinated 

1. The first vaccination of dogs and cats (or those with unknown rabies vaccination history) receive their rabies certificate with a one-year duration of immunity.
2. Dogs and cats with a history of one or more rabies vaccinations receive their rabies certificate with a three-year duration of immunity (with use of a 3-year vaccine).

Health department inspectors also:

• Quarantine biting animals
• Transport specimens for rabies testing
• Inspect kennels & pet shops
